Reza & Jessica

The day was warm, but rain threatened the skies at the Kaua'i Marriott. The abundance of flowers were breathtaking, adding subtle colors of blush, peach, and cream to the greens and blues of the land, sea, and skies. Much excitement was in the air, and Reza and Jessica's guests chattered merrily while waiting for the ceremony to commence. At 5:00 sharp, just as Jessica was preparing to make her entrance, the clouds opened up and showers of blessings poured down on us all. Eventually, the skies cleared and the blowing of the conch shell began the long awaited event. The wedding party strolled down the lawn as beautiful acoustic guitar and ukulele music filled the air. Reza and Jessica exchanged their vows with great emotion. They sealed their vows with a kiss as flower petals fell and bubbles floated all around them. Champagne and congratulations followed the ceremony, and then about 10 minutes of formal photos with just the bride and groom before the skies blessed us again. Reza carried his new bride over the sand threshold and into the lush garden area. A few more formal shots, and it was time for the reception. The grand ballroom was magnificently adorned, with an extravagant floral arrangement as the centerpiece for every table, satin tablecloths, fine china, luxury dining, and crystal chandeliers creating exquisite ambiance for the evening. An elaborate fruit tree decorated one end of the room, while the DJ station occupied the other end. The night was nothing short of magical as the newlyweds were celebrated. The first dance was a jaw dropper, seeming to have been taken directly from "Dancing With the Stars". Toasts were made, the cake was cut, the bouquet and garter were thrown, a special fire dance show was enjoyed, and the dancing began. This wedding definitely went down in my book as one of the most extravagant and lovely that I have attended. Oh, and to top it all off, this wedding was filmed for the local t.v. show, "Hot Hawaiian Weddings!" I was shadowed and interviewed, and will be the featured photographer for the show, which will air some time this month! I am so blessed to be a Kauai wedding photographer!!!
